Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring is epic, primal, explosive and a total game-changer for the course of modern music. The piece that caused a riot at its premiere still emits shockwaves today and this marks a rare opportunity to hear it live in all its huge, magnificent force. Matching the driving rhythms of The Rite of Spring are two works by US composer Steve Reich, as we celebrate his 80th birthday.
