The Fureys - legends of Irish music and song – took a special open top bus tour of Belfast with local fans ahead of the band’s last ever concert in the city at the Waterfront Hall on Friday 2nd January.
During this special musical tour provided by Belfast City Sightseeing, band leaders and founders, Eddie and George Furey, treated fans to a selection of their best-loved songs as the bus made its way through the city centre and on to the Titanic Quarter before finishing outside the Waterfront Hall - the venue for The Fureys’ final Belfast show.

The Fureys have wowed generations in the city with their live performances since 1980 and will captivate local fans one last time with their unmistakable classics that include Red Rose Café, I Will Love You, When You Were Sweet 16, Leaving Nancy, From Clare to Here and The Green Fields of France.
We have been coming to this beautiful city for many years, playing our music, singing our songs with musicians, storytellers, singers and comedians and of course meeting many people that became great friends of ours over the years. (The Fureys)
Pete McKevitt, Head of Entertainment, Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall, commented:
We owe a debt of gratitude to The Fureys who have chosen to return to the Waterfront Hall time and time again to entertain fans over the years
"This final gig will no doubt be an emotional evening for both the band and their followers. Having played at the Waterfront Hall on no less than thirteen occasions, they have been an important fixture in our programme for such a long time. Thank you to The Fureys and we wish them all the best for their future endeavours."
