Celtic Heart comes to Waterfront Hall Studio on 25 April 2026 at 2pm & 7pm. A powerful Belfast story of love, tradition and resilience, brought to life through spoken word, live traditional music and stirring Irish dance.
In partnership with Waterfront Hall, The Music Yard, Larne, has joined forces with local writer and performer Colin Urwin to create a gripping new stage production.
Set in the industrial heart of early 1900s working class Belfast, an intimate and compelling story unfolds around a quiet kitchen table. A father reflects on a life shaped by love, loss, and impossible choices. As his memories take
hold, the past comes vividly to life through live traditional music, powerful vocals, and breathtaking choreography, while echoes of Irish folklore weave through the narrative.
“They say a story is the only thing we truly leave behind... a whisper of what was. And for me, every note, every step… it’s a memory of her.”
Audiences have been stamping their feet, holding back tears and laughing all at once as Liam brings his memories to life. His story unfolds, sometimes with a sigh, often with a glint of Belfast humour, but always and above all,
from the heart.
