Date

28th October 2024

Get ready as Lord of the Dance returns to the Waterfront Hall to dazzle us with their unique combination of high-energy Irish dancing, original music, storytelling and sensuality.

Lord of the Dance is a globally celebrated dance production known for its captivating story and powerful soundtrack. The story unfolds through the dreams of the Little Spirit, telling a timeless tale of good versus evil. In her dream, the Lord of the Dance symbolises all that is good but must battle the malevolent Dark Lord and his army of Warlords. Morrighan the Temptress attempts to drive a wedge between the Lord and his true love, Saoirse, while Erin the Goddess gives voice to the emotions expressed in the dances through song.

Lord of the Dance has earned numerous awards and shattered box office records worldwide. In 1998, it set a new milestone by delivering 21 consecutive sold-out performances at London’s Wembley Arena, securing Michael Flatley a spot on Wembley’s renowned Square of Fame.

Lord of the Dance

The show has not only introduced Irish dancing to the global stage but has elevated the art of the dance to new heights, captivating millions around the world. In 2024, the production promises to be more spectacular than ever, featuring updated costumes that bring a blend of glamour and modern style, along with cutting-edge technology and special effects lighting to enhance the audience experience.

The performance features 40 of the world’s most outstanding young performers led by veteran dancers Matt Smith and Cathal Keaney and of course directed by the one and only Michael Flatley alongside music by composer Gerard Fahy.

Having played at iconic venues such as Madison Square Garden, the Lyric Theatre, London’s O2 and Wembley Arenas and The Temples of Baalbek, you can also grab tickets to see the show at the Waterfront Hall on an array of dates in December!

Come along and let the dance sweep you away on a journey bursting with energy and passion.
