Date

7th May 2020

Concerts, weddings and haircuts are just a few pieces of our daily lives that have been postponed this year. We are all learning to create memories in new ways through spending time with family and loved ones, either at home or through the power of Zoom.

The bustling sound of our foyers filling up with chatter and the noise our scanners make as we scan your tickets are becoming a distant memory…we even miss the shouts of that annoying heckler! All is not lost though at Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall. We have been working hard to make sure that the people of Belfast and beyond have a jam-packed schedule of live entertainments for when we can all safely venture out again.

We must remember, this is a pause and not a stop

Here are just a few of our favourite reschedules coming to a stage near you later this year.

The Academic, 16 October 2020, Ulster Hall

The Academic are Ireland's newest indie-rock sensation, having gone from playing a ‘Battle Of The Bands’ competition at their local school to one of the most exciting live acts on the music scene opening for everyone from Catfish and the Bottlemen to The Strokes! We couldn't let these guys away without rescheduling their gig at the Ulster Hall and you can now catch them on 16 October 2020.

Elbow, 26 October 2020, Waterfront Hall

Elbow were finally back on the road after their sellout arena tour. Nothing stops these guys when it comes to their fans. They are Brit pop royalty for a reason, and they have rescheduled their gig in Belfast to October this year.

Wannabe, 28 November 2020, Waterfront Hall

You and the girls will be ready for this when lockdown ends…a girls’ night out to the music of Spice Girls! Grab your Union Jack dress and get practising your Posh Pout; it’s time to Zig-ah-zig-ahhhh.

Trixie Mattel, 21 January 2021, Ulster Hall

One of the drag queen legends to emerge from RuPaul Drag Race, Trixie Mattel was the underdog of season seven until she made a triumphant fightback later in the season. Known for her sharp comedy and musical talents, this will be the perfect night out after a binge of seasons 1-12 of RPDR for the past two months!

It may not be today, next week or maybe even next month but the sound of live entertainment will ring through the streets of Belfast again. We're a resilient city and we cannot wait to welcome you back through the doors of Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall!
