One of our great local choirs, the Donaghadee Male Voice Choir, will be joining George on stage. The choir's membership currently stands around 65, and its repertoire embraces both secular and sacred music, as well as popular, folk, traditional and operatic works. . Their reputation extends far beyond these shores Northern Ireland, participating inchoral festivals throughout Europe.
The evening will also be supported by Lagan Seahorses who would give any Welsh male voice choir a run for their money. The choir was born out of a group of ageing rugby players so they all understand the power of a good strong song. They are a real joy to hear performing and it’s very clear to see how much they all enjoy being a part of it. The close harmonies and melodic tones generated by one of Belfast’s top male voice choirs aims to raise the roof.
Victoria College Belfast’s school choir, previous winners of BBC Young School Choir of the year, will be joining the evening to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Age NI.
