Billy Bragg returns to the Belfast's iconic Ulster Hall on 02 November 2021 for his first solo headlining show in a decade!
A familiar face to the Ulster Hall over the years, singer, songwriter, guitarist and activist, Billy Bragg was last seen on the iconic stage in January 2017. Around this time he had delved into American railroad history on a shared bill with Joe Henry in support of their Shine A Light album.
A memorable gig in November 1990, when Bragg walked onto the Ulster Hall stage holding the front page of that day’s Belfast Telegraph upon hearing the news that Margaret Thatcher had resigned. Since emerging in 1983 with debut album Life's a Riot with Spy vs Spy, Billy Bragg has maintained a place as a national musical treasure.
Throughout the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s Bragg has stayed true to his original style of mixing politics and music.
Ranking up 14 consecutive charting albums and a string of eps and other releases along the way, Bragg has continued to be a frontline progressive activist and a social commentator of note.
