Haunting new Big Telly production visits the Waterfront
02 March 2010
Big Telly Theatre Company brings The Haunting of Helena Blunden - its latest touring production - to the Studio at Belfast Waterfront on Sunday 14 March.
The Haunting of Helena Blunden is a thriller set in a derelict Belfast linen mill where a family is put on trial to account for the choices they’ve made.
On a dark Halloween night, the musical ghost story draws to its doors four people with secrets: an old woman from a home, an estranged father and daughter and the ghost of a young girl….all searching for something. Their paths cross and interweave to reveal a dark family past where even half-forgotten melodies can take on an unforeseen significance...
The Haunting of Helena Blunden stars Karl O’Neill (best known for his role in RTE’s Fair City) and Belfast’s Roisin Gallagher, supported by Charlotte McCurry and Helena Bereen (most recently seen on our screens in Mo).
Directed by Big Telly’s Artistic Director, Zoë Seaton, this beautifully haunting musical ghost story also brings together the creative partnership of Bernie McGill as playwright and Paul Boyd as composer.
Formed in 1987, Big Telly Theatre Company’s productions concentrate on the visual potential of theatre through fusion with other art forms such as dance, music, circus, magic and film to create a unique sense of spectacle.
