Belfast City Council presents David Adams playing The Robson Organ in the Great Hall at Queen`s University Belfast on Saturday 14 November at 3pm. Admission is free of charge.
The Robson Organ recital features works by GF Handel, JS Bach, F Mendelssohn, CV Stanford and H Distler.
The programme in full is: Overture in Tamerlane (Handel); Fantasie in G (Bach); Prelude and Fugue in D minor, op.37/3 (Mendelssohn); Overture in Athalia (Handel); Prelude in form of a Toccata, op.88/3 (Stanford); Orgelpartita Nun komm (Distler) and Sonata No. 5 in D (Mendelssohn).
David Adams is a teacher, organist, harpsichordist, pianist and conductor and has won prizes at international competitions in Speyer, Luneburg Dublin and Bruges. He is much in demand as an ensemble player in the fields of early and contemporary music and has premiered many new works.
