Winter Base is the first indoor street art festival of its kind.
Following the success of the inaugural Eurocultured Belfast festival during trans in July 2009, the event has now been renamed Base and will be taking place twice a year.
Base brings street art in from the cold, transforming the Grand Hall to
accommodate a mini urban village of live painting, market stalls and music.
Featuring street artists from across Ireland, Britain and Europe, Base will be showcasing some of the finest underground artists creating work around European cities today. Belfast`s best and most original bands - Not Squares, Cutaways, Nakatomi Towers, The Swell Time and Pocket Billiards – will be playing alongside international artists all day Saturday and Sunday.
Local artists will be selling arts and crafts on both days.
Whether you`re into live painting, music or simply want to have a look around the market stalls; are 8 years old or 88, Base has plenty to keep you entertained on a winter weekend.
